HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION DAY
The City of Jackson’s Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day enables residents to dispose of harmful wastes and recycle items from around their homes the right way and without harming the environment. The biannual event is held in the Spring and Fall.
HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION DAY
Saturday, October 25, 2025, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
164 Conalco Drive, Jackson, TN 38305
From pesticides to paint thinner, from household cleaners to oil-based paint, many things around our homes will harm the environment if we throw them in the regular trash.
This Fall, you can bring items from around your home to a special collection site so the waste can be disposed of properly. With your help, we can protect the environment by keeping the waste out of the regular trash, the landfill and the stormwater system.

Tennessee Tree Day is annual event that provides multigenerational benefits to our environment, wildlife, communities, and people. Trees planted through this program serve as conduits to a cleaner environment by reducing runoff, flooding, and water pollution, providing large leafy canopies, improving water quality and serving as a habitat for wildlife and pollinators.
Trees and Stormwater Runoff
As stormwater becomes an increasing issue for our communities, the role of trees is important by helping to reduce runoff, flooding and water pollution. Their large leafy canopies intercept rainfall and transpire water back into the atmosphere and complete the water cycle, while removing pollutants and increasing the infiltration of rainfall into surrounding soils.
