Jackson, Tenn. – The City of Jackson Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce the installation of new restroom facilities at Shirlene Mercer Park and Stella Duncan Park.
These improvements are part of the department’s ongoing projects funded through the Local Parks and Recreation Fund (LPRF) grant program.
These additions represent a continued investment in enhancing park amenities, accessibility, and overall user experience for our community. The new restroom facilities will provide much-needed infrastructure to support increased park usage and future programming.
While construction and installation have been completed, the restroom facilities are not yet open to the public. Final inspections and preparations are currently underway to ensure the buildings meet all safety and operational standards.
The department will make a formal announcement once the restrooms are fully operational and available for public use.
We appreciate the community’s patience and look forward to opening these facilities soon.
